Diy Magnetic Wooden Poster Hangers

Want to know how to make your own wooden poster hanger. It's a lot easier than you think and more affordable than regular frames. It also looks great and gives a beautiful alternative to traditional frames.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

All you need to make your wooden poster hangers are the items below. I've linked some of the items I've used for easy access.

  1. unfinished craft wood 12" x 1.5" (I got mine from Micheals for $2.49 for a pack of 2) Link to them below: https://www.michaels.com/product/12-x-15-clear-pine-craft-wood-2ct-by-make-market-10212983?michaelsStore=9179&inv=4

  2. Super Glue, any kind will work.

  3. Twine

  4. Scissors

  5. Ruler

THE PROCESS

STEP 1: Use your ruler and evenly measure out where to put your screw eyes and screw them in.

STEP 2: Use your ruler and measure out how long to make your magnetic tape and cut 4 strips. I kept mine in from the edges about an inch.

STEP 3: Use your super glue and put a line of glue on your pice of wood, then take one of your strips and peel the backing off and stick it in place and hold it for a few seconds. The magnetic tape comes with an adhesive back, but I like to put a line of glue down just to make sure it holds.

STEP 4: Repeat step 3 on your other piece of wood.

STEP 5: Tie your twine on to whatever length you want. Then place your art in the between the two pieces of wood and put the other two pieces of magnetic tape on top so they pull together. I leave the tape on the last two pieces of magnetic tape because you don't need it to stick to anything.

Thats all there is to it! If your looking to fill your new frames with some artwork have a look around my shop.
